The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the death count in the wake of Severe Tropical Storm "Paeng," as of 8 p.m. on 31 October, is now at 101, with 70 individuals injured and 66 reportedly missing.
A total of 618,817 families, consisting of 2,039,363 individuals, have been affected by the storm, the NDRRMC reported, with 56,179 families currently staying in 2,801 activated evacuation centers, while 250,255 families were given assistance outside the centers.
There were 4,863 damaged houses reported in Region 1, Region 3, MIMAROPA, Region 5, Region 6, Region 7, Region 8, Region 9, Region 10, Region 11, Region 12, CARAGA, BARMM, CAR, and NCR.
