One-time Reymart Gaballo returned to active duty over the weekend to stop Ricardo Sueno in the second round of their bantamweight bout in General Santos City.
Gaballo produced a total of four knockdowns, one in the first and three in the second round, forcing referee Almar Odiong to halt the carnage.
It was Gaballo's first fight since being knocked out by Nonito Donaire in a bid to wrest the World Boxing Council crown in December 2021 in Carson, California.
After the savage Donaire defeat, Gaballo was so heartbroken that he became inactive and left his chief handler JC Mananquil guessing about the future of the knockout artist.
The smashing win over Sueno could send Gaballo back in action.
Gaballo used to train in Miami, Florida, under Cuban tactician Moro Fernandez.
