The San Juan City government said it is ready for tropical storm "Paeng," which is expected to hit Luzon this weekend.
"San Juan City is ready for 'Paeng.' We just finished setting up our main evacuation center — the San Juan Gym in San Juan Elementary School," the local government said.
"It has 75 tents as well as other prerequisites of a proper evacuation center such as play area for kids and couples' room," it added.
The local government has also prepared relief packages for the evacuees, the LGU added.
"Our CDRRMO, CSWD, CHO, UPAO, Sports, GSG, Engineering, POSO, TPMO, BFP and PNP are already on standby and ready to respond to any incidents."
"The Office of the Mayor is on top of everything. Our San Juan City Hotline 137-135 is open 24 hours to answer calls," the local government said.
