The Philippine government has replaced the much-maligned One Health Pass with the electronic "e-Arrival Card," the Department of Health announced Friday.
The DoH said in an advisory that starting 1 November 2022, e-Arrival cards will be required from all inbound travelers to the Philippines before their departure from their countries of origin.
It added the Bureau of Quarantine will facilitate an e-Arrival Card scan-and-go system in airports across the country for ease of travel.
"To ensure the enjoyment of this, arriving travelers should register for an e-Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to their departure via onehealthpass.com.ph," the advisory read.
The Bureau of Quarantine said the e-Arrival Card incorporates the health declaration checklist.
Earlier this week, Health officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said the One Health Pass has been the subject of complaints from travelers.
Vergeire said, unlike the One Health Pass, the eArrival card requires less information, which will make traveling to the Philippines easier.
