DivinaLaw — one of the top law firms in the country — was recently recognized at the 19th Annual International Business Awards and walked away with two Gold Stevie Awards.
DivinaLaw managing partner Atty. Nilo T. Divina won in the Executive of the Year category for the legal industry, while the firm's video series DivinaLaw's Bar Exams Success Tips or DL's BEST — produced by its Corporate Affairs and Business Development Office — won in the Social Video category.
"He did marvels for his organization, his people and his profession amidst the Pandemic," said one of the judges about Divina.
DL's BEST, meanwhile, was described by one judge as a "true intervention for law students, who were fighting uncertainty and hence anxious due to the Covid-19 pandemic."
Divina together with the firm's lawyers — Atty. Edwin Uy, Atty. Rhegine Peralta, Atty. Ciselie Marie Gamo-Sisayan, and CABDO director Cheer Mae Ecarma — accepted the awards during a gala banquet at the InterContinental London Park Lane Hotel, in London, England on 15 October.
Known as the "International Stevies," the IBAs honor the achievements of organizations and working professionals and their positive contributions worldwide.
More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes from various industries were submitted this year.
The winners were determined by the average scores of more than 300 executives participating in the judging process.
DivinaLaw is the first and only law firm in the Philippines to receive the International Stevies.
Last August, it also won a silver award in the 7th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers in the Employer of the Year category.
