President Bongbong Marcos will lay out his administration's economic agenda before members of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, 20 October, even as the business sector is looking for ways to cooperate with the government in navigating the country toward full recovery and growth.
The PCCI organized the 48th Philippine Business Conference and Exposition 2022 at the Manila Hotel.
Ferdinand Ferrer, Chairman, and CEO of EMS Group of Companies is expected to hand over the President the conference resolutions at the business conference.
These resolutions include food security, affordable healthcare, employment, globally-competitive education, affordable power, and efficient transportation, among others.
Earlier, the PCCI said it is formulating a set of resolutions that the business community proposes to Marcos in his administration's post-pandemic initiatives.
The business group is hopeful that the President and Cabinet members will be open to their suggested resolutions, which are the "collective aspirations and expectations of the Philippine business community."
The President will also lead the presentation of awards for the Most Business-Friendly local government unit and Most Outstanding Chamber.
This is the first time PCCI has held the conference after two years of global lockdowns.
The business conference seeks to jumpstart dialogue on key policy measures and programs concerning business and the economy.
Vice President Sara Duterte also attended the PCCI event during its opening ceremony.
