Operatives of the Manila Police District Ermita Station have arrested eight men who were caught in the act of playing cara y cruz during a lightning raid inside the historical Intramuros compound on Saturday evening.
The eight arrested individuals were identified as Antonio San Jose, Joel Magulado, Aljon Denanila, Edmundo Bardulasa, Jonathan Benjamin Alvarez, Carlos Aguinaldo, Ernesto Velasquez and Jason Balan.
They were nabbed by police along Legaspi Street in Barangay 654, Zone 69.
The seized and confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were different gambling paraphernalia used for illegal gambling and bet money amounting to P2,720 in different denominations.
The suspects are detained at the MPD Ermita Station and will be charged for Violation of PD 1602.
