A 28-year-old man was arrested the other day for allegedly molesting and beating his eight-year-old stepdaughter in Old Balara, Quezon City.
The child this week had the courage to tell her mother that the suspect had been molesting her whenever she was out to do the laundry of other people for a fee, the police said.
The mother said she had been living with the alleged molester for five years already so she trusted him to care for her daughter from another relationship.
The man was arrested and will face rape and child abuse charges.
