De La Salle University demolished the University of Santo Tomas, 83-63, and bounced back from its opening day loss in the University Athletic Association of Philippines Season 85 men's basketball tournament at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Wednesday.

Schonny Winston, who exploded with 27 points from their heartbreaking season-opener 69-72 loss against University of the Philippines last Saturday, dropped 19 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Miguel Pangilinan on the other hand paced the Growling Tigers with 11 markers and nine boards.
