Vice President Sara Z. Duterte has distributed "Pasasalamat" gifts to more than 600 residents of Barangay Tangos North in Navotas City.
The gifts — food packs, masks, alcohol and school supplies — were to express her gratitude for the Navoteños' all-out support of her during the May elections, she said.
Duterte said the gifts were donated to her by a friend whose mother was celebrating her birthday. It was the second time Duterte visited the area since her campaign sortie in Navotas City on 4 March.
Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco thanked Duterte for considering the city as one of the areas for her "Pasasalamat" events.
Tiangco said it was the sole initiative of the Vice President to come back and visit the residents of the area.
Duterte also reminded the children to study hard for them to achieve their aspirations in life.
