Entering Taal Volcano Island and the permanent danger zone, especially in the main crater and Daang Kastila fissures remain prohibited as Alert Level 1 (low-level unrest) still prevails over Taal Volcano in Batangas.
In an advisory Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said it has recorded two volcanic earthquakes (1 to 2 minutes long) with low-level background tremors in the past 24 hours.
The volcano continued to show signs of unrest with 2506 tonnes of pronounced upwelling of hot volcanic fluids in the main crater lake recorded.
Taal's voluminous emission is 2,100 meters tall, drifting northeast.
Slight inflation of TVI and Western Taal Caldera, while deflation of Eastern Taal Caldera is being observed prohibiting aircraft to fly close to the volcano.
Boating and occupying Taal lake are also not allowed.
The Taal's unrest may induce steam-driven or phreatic or gas-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, minor ashfall, lethal accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas.
