The city government of Manila has provided 100 hard hats requested by two associate justices of the Court of Appeals for their use in the event of earthquakes.
Mayor Honey Lacuna said the city is willing to donate more hard hats for the courts situated within the capital city,
including the Supreme Court, if it would receive similar requests for the protective equipment.
Presiding CA Justice Remedios Salazar-Fernando, and Associate Justices Apolinario Bruselas Jr., Fernand Lampas-Peralta, Ramon A. Cruz, Maria Elisa Sempio Diy, Louie Acosta, Ronaldo Roberto Martin and Carlito B. Calpatura personally received the hard hats.
The justices thanked Lacuna, Vice Mayor Yul Servo-Nieto and City administrator Bernie Ang for the donation that they personally brought to the CA.
