The local government of Malabon City financially assists 262 hardworking families hit hardest by the pandemic.
The financial support was made possible by the office of Sen. "Bong" Go and DSWD's Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG).
"I am am grateful to Sen Bong Go and DSWD-NCR for allocating this funding to help cover the household expenses of the families in Malabon who are still struggling to recover from the negative impact brought by the pandemic," said Mauor Jeannie Sandoval.
Enlistment of the LAG beneficiaries tediously went through the process embodied under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) and DSWD Memorandum Circular 19 s. 2020 also known as the Special Guidelines on the Provision of Livelihood Assistance Grants, aimed at facilitating the economic recovery of low income level families gravely affected by the ongoing pandemics.
Understanding the financial stress the families are undergoing, Sen. Bong Go further engaged the families to raffle games giving away prizes and tokens.
