Two men were arrested after authorities caught them in the act of handing over illegal drugs while three others were also nabbed in the middle of pot session in separate operations in Valenzuela City.
The first two suspects were identified as Kenjie Estrada y Menggoy, 32, tinsmith, of Clothman Riverside, Don Pedro St., Brgy. Marulas and Marlon España y Nebrida, 38, resident of Northville 1, Brgy. Bignay.
According to PCpl. Glenn De Chavez, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit received an information regarding the illegal activities of the suspects.
SDEU operatives led by PSSg. Luis Alojacin immediately conducted a validation at Rosario St., Gen.T. De Leon around 11:30 am on Sunday, where the suspects usually meet.
At that point, the police saw the suspects in the act of handing over shabu and money to each other which led to the arrest of the two.
The police recovered two transparent plastic sachets of approximately five grams of shabu and an estimated value of P32,000 and P290 in cash from the suspects.
Meanwhile, at around 11:30 in the evening SDEU operatives also arrested the suspects identified as Angelo Laureto, 21; Lino Regilme Jr., 21; and Peter Dampios, 54, in a house along C. Molina St., Block 6, Brgy. Veinte Reales.
According to PCpl. Christopher Quaio, their office received an information from a concerned citizen regarding the illegal activities of the suspects.
The authorities quickly went to the area and caught the three in the act of sniffing shabu.
Recovered from them was a transparent plastic sachet containing shabu with an estimated value of P2,040, two lighters and drug paraphernalia.
The apprehended suspects will be charged with Sec. 5, Sec. 11, 12 and Section 15 Art II of RA 9165 Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 at the Valenzuela City Prosecutors Office.
