The Department of Interior and Local Government- National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) NCR conducted a Nationwide Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity on Tuesday.

The activity aims to restore the life of degraded forest ecosystems around Metro Manila.

In solidarity, Mayor John Rey Tiangco planted mangrove seedlings in the Tanza Marine Tree Park along with the personnel from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, DILG Navotas, Barangay Tanza Uno, and policemen from Tanza Police Sub-station 1.

Tiangco also encourages everyone to show their solidarity in protecting our nature in even a small way.
