Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go said the government should intensify its push for stronger vaccination efforts across the country as his staff recently provided relief to indigent families in the cities of San Jose del Monte, Malolos, and Meycauayan in Bulacan.
As chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go reiterated the need to intensify vaccine rollouts in remote areas to ensure that more Filipinos are better protected from Covid-19.
For well-organized distributions, Go's team mounted the relief operations for 671 Bulakeños at the San Rafael 3 Barangay Hall in San Jose del Monte City; Bulacan Sports Complex in Malolos City; and Congressman Villarica District Office in Meycauayan City.
They distributed snacks, masks and shirts, and provided select residents cellular phones, bicycles, shoes, and balls for volleyball and basketball. Fire victims were also given grocery packs.
Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development extended aid to help the residents recover.
In line with his commitment to look after the Filipinos' health and well-being, Go likewise offered to help those who are in need of hospital care. He advised them to seek the assistance of the Malasakit Centers located at Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos City or Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Sta. Maria.
Meantime, his team also visited the towns of Casiguran and Dinalungan, Aurora to provide assistance to disadvantaged residents as part of his commitment to uplift the lives of more Filipinos.
Go's staff distributed snacks, masks, and shirts to 600 residents at the Dinalungan Municipal Covered Court and Casiguran Agricula Covered Court. They also gave bicycles, cellular phones, shoes, and balls for basketball and volleyball to select individuals.
