All members of Sandatahang Yunit Pangpropaganda 16B of the New People's Army Guerilla Front16 operating for NorthEastern Mindanao Regional Committee have surrendered to state troops recently.

Rebel returnee Panie Hukman Jubasan alias "Alvin/Jimboy" expressed gratitude after the soldiers warmly accepted the entire NPA guerilla front that surrendered to the government forces earlier this week.

The group also yielded high-powered firearms, grenades and other improvised explosive devices that the communist groups used for a series of violent attacks.

The communist rebels surrendered to the 30th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army deployed in Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte.

"I am thankful for the 30IB that they accepted us, they treated us well and respected us instead of hurting us," Jubasan said in vernacular.
