Pacman Jr. is ready to go

Jimuel Pacquiao will be armed to the teeth by the time he makes his professional debut on 29 November at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

This was the guarantee made by his chief trainer Marcin Somodio, who told DAILY TRIBUNE that the Los Angeles-based Filipino “is doing very good.”

Pacquiao Jr. battles fellow debutant Brendan Lally in a lightweight four-rounder in the maiden show of Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP).

Sean Gibbons, who leads MPP, is putting up several fights on the same night to kick off what he intends to be followed by four more cards throughout 2026.

A vital part of Pacquiao’s training team, Somodio has been the young boxer’s trainer since he started training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood six years ago.

“He is improving everyday,” said Somodio, who is Freddie Roach’s right-hand man at the immensely-popular training facility on Vine Street.

Lally hails from Chicago and is determined to rain on Pacquiao’s parade as the famous father is expected to be at ringside.

The Hall of Famer and wife Jinkee arrived in Los Angeles on Friday night (Saturday in Manila) from Manila so they could be in their son’s corner.

Somodio feels his ward won’t disappoint his parents as he has been training diligently despite waiting the birth of his girlfriend anytime soon.

“We’ve been sparring experienced and undefeated prospects. November 29th he will be 100 percent ready for his pro debut.”
