‘The Remarried Empress’ is out a day early

Fans won't have to wait until tomorrow. At a press conference today, The Remarried Empress leads Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk and Lee Seyoung announced that the Korean romantic epic will premiere on November 3 instead of November 4, with its first four episodes streaming later today, only on Disney+ Philippines.
The early release is a thank-you to viewers after months of buzz. The series drew sold-out preview screenings at the Busan International Film Festival, and its payoff trailer passed 13 million views within 48 hours across YouTube and other platforms.
At 7:00 PM today, Disney+ Philippines will also debut its local trailer on its social media pages. It is set to the OPM classic "'Til I Met You," a song about finding the one person who changes everything, which fits the romance at the heart of the show.
The series is adapted from the NAVER WEBTOON of the same name, which has gathered nearly three billion views. It follows Empress Navier and her husband, Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire, whose marriage begins to crack as tensions grow across the land. Sovieshu falls for a runaway slave and goes to extreme lengths to win her over. Navier refuses to give up her dignity and agrees to his request on one condition: that she be allowed to marry Crown Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom, her rival. What follows is a story of love, lust and regret that puts the whole empire at risk as Navier fights to take back her power.
Shin Mina (Karma, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) plays Navier, Ju Jihoon (Light Shop, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call) is Sovieshu, Lee Jongsuk (Big Mouth) is Heinrey, and Lee Seyoung (The Red Sleeve, The Crowned Clown) plays the escaped slave Rashta. The screenplay is by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol, and the director is Cho Suwon (Still 17, Pinocchio).
After today's four-episode opener, two new episodes will drop every Wednesday from November 11 through the finale on November 25.
The first four episodes of The Remarried Empress are streaming today, November 3, exclusively on Disney+.
