The local government of Parañaque has launched an administrative investigation into a City Hall employee captured on video allegedly harassing and tailgating a female motorist following a traffic dispute.

The incident occurred after the woman, who was leaving a convenience store in Barangay Don Bosco, overtook the employee because he was driving slowly.

Video footage that circulated on social media shows the woman confronting the employee after he repeatedly honked at her, flashed high-beam headlights, and drove against oncoming traffic to catch up with her vehicle.

Nearby motorists honked at the employee as he maneuvered against the flow of traffic.

Parañaque city officials confirmed Wednesday that the male driver involved is a municipal employee and said he has been formally ordered to submit a written explanation.

“The employee has been identified and directed to submit a written explanation,” the local government said.

“The City is investigating the matter to determine whether administrative charges are warranted, in accordance with Civil Service rules and with full respect to due process,” it added.
