Disney’s ‘Hexed’ brings new magical heroine

A teenage girl’s ordinary life takes a magical turn in Disney’s newest animated adventure.

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hexed follows Billie Doe, an unconventional teenager whose mysterious abilities suddenly emerge, sending her beyond the familiar world of suburbia and into Hexed, a spectacular realm filled with witches, secrets and ancient powers.

Voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, Billie finds herself drawn into a journey that forces her to confront her newfound abilities and uncover hidden truths about her family’s connection to the magical world. Along the way, she teams up with her cautious mother Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones, as the two discover secrets that could change the future of Hexed forever.

The film features an ensemble voice cast that includes Jodie Foster as Queen Celeste, a powerful ruler determined to protect her hold over Hexe, and Walton Goggins as Beef Roger Crummchuk, a mysterious three-eyed magical cat who forms an unlikely alliance with Billie and Alice.

Also joining the cast are Henry Winkler as Nigel, a knowledgeable potoo bird guarding secrets of the magical realm, and Dan Stevens as Hieronymous, Queen Celeste’s self-important Grand Councilor of the Throne.

Hexed arrives in Philippine cinemas on 25 November.
