Woman arrested in P1M theft case in Laguna
City-level most wanted person apprehended in Sta. Cruz; court sets total recommended bail at P1.04 million
STA. CRUZ, Laguna — A woman listed as a city-level most wanted person was arrested in connection with multiple qualified theft cases during a police manhunt operation in Barangay San Juan on Saturday, 10 October.
According to the Biñan Component City Police Station, the suspect, identified only by the alias “Dette,” was arrested at approximately 6:50 p.m. in Lynville Subdivision.
The operation was carried out by personnel of the Biñan police warrant section as part of efforts to locate individuals facing outstanding arrest warrants.
Police said the suspect was apprehended by virtue of a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 152 in Biñan City, presided over by Judge Jaime E. Banatin.
The warrant covers qualified theft charges under Articles 310 and 308 of the Revised Penal Code, involving Criminal Case Nos. 9480 to 9506-B-2026.
According to the police report, the court set a total recommended bail of P1,040,000 for the cases.
The warrant was issued on 25 August 2026.
Authorities said the suspect was informed of her constitutional rights and the provisions of the Anti-Torture Law during the operation, which was documented using a body-worn camera.
The arrested woman was placed under the custody of the Biñan Component City Police Station.
Police said the warrant would be returned to the issuing court for proper disposition.
