NCRPO disrupts P1.22-M shabu deal in Parañaque
Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested two newly identified high-value individuals and seized approximately 180 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P1,224,000 during a high-stakes buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon, 8 October.
The swift anti-narcotics sting was carried out at approximately 5:50 p.m. by elite personnel of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit at the parking area of a bustling commercial establishment located in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
The apprehended suspects, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, have both been formally classified by law enforcement as newly identified high-value individuals orchestrating drug distributions within the metropolis.
During the coordinated confrontation, operating teams recovered definitive evidence from the female suspect, including two large plastic sachets containing suspected shabu concealed inside a black eco bag.
The confiscated contraband weighed roughly 180 grams, with a standard drug price of P1,224,000.
She is now facing rigorous criminal charges for direct violations of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Concurrently, operatives secured incriminating evidence from the male suspect, comprising 503 pieces of simulated P1,000 bills integrated with a genuine P1,000 bill used as designated marked money, all contained within a blue paper bag. He faces corresponding charges for violations of Section 26 in relation to Section 5, Article II of the same statutory framework.
Both suspects remain in police custody and are currently being processed at the RPDEU-NCRPO headquarters for comprehensive documentation and the immediate filing of formal criminal charges before the prosecutor's office.
