Parent company Mynt Inc. has cleared a key regulatory hurdle toward a historic stock market debut, paving the way for millions of GCash users to acquire equity in the country's leading digital wallet platform.
The Securities and Exchange Commission approved Mynt’s initial public offering plan, setting the stage for the company behind GCash to list on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "GCASH."
Under the current schedule, the share pricing date is set for 1 October, with the final offer price announcement on 2 October. The public offering period will run from 6 to 12 October, culminating in an official stock market listing on 20 October.
Filipinos who use GCash for daily transactions, including GCash cardholders, will become part-owners only by purchasing Mynt shares during the offering or after trading commences on the open market.
Stock exchange filings show Mynt plans to offer up to 8.03 billion shares — comprising up to 1.61 billion new primary shares and up to 6.42 billion secondary shares offered by an existing shareholder — with an overallotment option of up to 1.20 billion additional shares.
The maximum indicated offer price stands at P10 per share. At that ceiling, the landmark offering could raise up to P92.32 billion, making it the largest initial public offering in Philippine history.
The final price remains unconfirmed until Mynt completes its pricing process. BDO Capital President Eduardo Francisco cited that the ultimate offer price could settle between P7.50 and P8.50 per share, though official figures await formal confirmation.
GCash currently serves an estimated 94 million users across an expanding ecosystem that encompasses digital payments, savings accounts, consumer credit, micro-loans, insurance products, and investment tools.
Mynt generated P79.8 billion in revenue and P17.2 billion in net profit in 2025, establishing the company as one of the country's most prominent financial technology enterprises.
