The Goldenberg Mansion in the Malacañang complex once again came alive with classical music following a performance by a violinist and a guitarist, both Filipinos, that left First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in awe.

“Such a joyful performance! Found myself smiling from beginning to end. We have so much incredible Filipino talent, and I hope we continue to encourage our young artists to dream bigger, pursue what they love, and share their gifts with the world,” Mrs. Marcos posted on her Facebook account.

The First Lady was ecstatic over violinist Adrian Ong and guitarist Samuel Asistores, a musical duo who perform classical and Filipino crossover pieces and who were recently featured in the Goldenberg Concert Series.

“Bravo, Adrian and Samuel! Thank you for filling Goldenberg with such beautiful music — and for reminding us just how bright the future of Filipino music is,” she said.

The internationally acclaimed performers brought their artistic excellence to this month’s Goldenberg: The Concert Series, according to a post by the Social Secretary’s Office.

The duo’s repertoire included classical works, tango arrangements such as Astor Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, and Filipino compositions, including Ernani Cuenco’s Nahan.
