There’s a new reason to head south.

DMCI Homes’ Solmera Beach Park Resort brings together coastal leisure, design-forward spaces and destination events in San Juan, Batangas.

Set along the coastline of San Juan, Batangas, Solmera Beach Park Resort is set to open in February 2027, bringing a polished new take on the beach escape to DMCI Homes’ 7.5-hectare Solmera Coast estate.

Envisioned as the country’s leading beach park resort, Solmera is less about the traditional idea of a getaway and more about the art of staying awhile. Think expansive landscapes, sea-and-mountain views, generous poolside spaces and a lineup of dining, wellness and leisure experiences designed to move effortlessly from day to night.

At the center of it all is a more than 4,000-square-meter pool complex, complete with a lap pool, kiddie pool and pool pavilion. The Matahari Building takes the experience higher with a Sky Deck Pool and Sky Promenade overlooking the coastline.

The mood shifts from sun-drenched afternoons to long lunches and late drinks, with an all-day dining restaurant, roof deck venue, specialty restaurant, lobby bar, snack bar and food kiosks spread across the estate. Spa and wellness facilities add another reason to linger.

But Solmera has ambitions beyond the weekend.

Studio units, one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom suites will accommodate everyone from couples to families and larger groups, while a substantial events component positions the resort as a destination for weddings, celebrations, conferences and corporate gatherings.

The main convention center will feature a more than 2,000-square-meter function hall and a 935-square-meter veranda, complemented by additional function spaces, roof deck venues, landscaped lawns and open-air event areas.

For DMCI Homes president Alfredo Austria, the priority is making sure the experience matches the setting.

“Our immediate priority is to put the right operating systems and people in place to ensure consistent service delivery, efficient property management and reliable guest experiences,” Austria said.

Solmera will be managed by DMCI Hospitality and Leisure, Inc., the company’s newly formed hospitality arm operating under the DMCI Resorts brand.

And as the resort enters the hospitality scene, Austria sees its appeal extending beyond guests to the people who will run it.

“Beyond putting the right systems in place, we are building a highly competent organization. The appeal of Solmera Beach Park Resort is not only in attracting guests. It also enables us to bring in some of the best hotel professionals in the country. Many of the key candidates we’ve engaged are already familiar with DMCI Homes, either through personal experience or through people they know, and they believe in the strength and credibility of our brand,” Austria said.

“We are confident we can attract very good people to join DMCI Resorts because they see Solmera Beach Park Resort as an exciting development and recognize DMCI Homes as a strong, stable company with a proven track record. This gives us even greater confidence that Solmera Beach Park Resort will succeed,” he added.

At its heart, Solmera reflects a shift in the way people travel: less separation between business and pleasure, more space for both.

“We see strong potential where leisure and meetings naturally converge,” Austria said. “Having convention facilities enables our developments to cater to both segments.”

Come 2027, the Batangas coastline gets a new kind of social address—one where the beach is the backdrop, the gathering is the occasion and staying longer is part of the plan.

At its heart, Solmera reflects a shift in the way people travel: less separation between business and pleasure, more space for both.
