A 33-year-old man was arrested after police recovered an unlicensed firearm and ammunition during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Bayanan, Muntinlupa City on Tuesday night.
Police identified the suspect as alias Biboy, a scavenger and resident of Barangay Bayanan.
At around 11:40 p.m., personnel of the Muntinlupa City Police Station, Investigation and Detective Management Section and SWAT implemented the search warrant at Block 7, Purok 3.
The warrant for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591 was issued by the Regional Trial Court in Muntinlupa City.
Police recovered a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number, five rounds of ammunition and a black sling bag.
The search was witnessed by barangay public safety officers.
Police are preparing a complaint against the suspect for alleged violation of RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
