  • Three high-value drug suspects were arrested during an entrapment operation inside a hotel in Barangay Guadalupe, Makati City on Monday night.

Police identified the suspects as alias Clay, 29, a resident of Mandaluyong City, along with two companions identified as Churckliven, 29, and Gervie, 27—both construction workers and residents of Mandaluyong City.

At around 9:11 p.m., operatives of the Southern Police District's Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation inside a hotel room. An undercover operative acting as a poseur-buyer successfully transacted with the primary suspect, leading to the immediate arrest of all three men by back-up police officers.

During the operation, law enforcers recovered four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an aggregate weight of approximately 200 grams, valued at a standard drug price of P1,360,000.

Operatives also confiscated the buy-bust money enclosed in a white envelope, a digital weighing scale, and a mobile phone used during the transaction.

Formal complaints for violations of Section 5, Section 11, and Section 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing against the suspects.
