MPD preps rescue gear for Habagat

Manila Police District personnel prepare boats and other rescue equipment on 28 August 2026, in preparation for severe weather brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat. PAGASA raised a Yellow Heavy Rainfall Warning at 2 a.m. due to the monsoon, while the state weather bureau continues to monitor a low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
