The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released ₱1 billion to strengthen Project NOAH’s (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) artificial intelligence-powered flood forecasting capabilities. Geologist Mahar Francisco Amante Lagmay, executive director of Project NOAH, said the initiative aims to provide science-based research and data that can help the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in planning and constructing flood-control projects.
