Ship ran aground in Cavite

A ship has been stranded in shallow waters, affecting the tahungan (mussel-farming) community in Cavite City on 23 August 2026. Residents said the incident happened at around 9 a.m., amid strong habagat winds. At least 10 tahungan structures and fish cages have been damaged.
