  • Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers Inc. has been named Domestic Broker of the Year—Philippines at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026, marking its fifth consecutive time winning the title.

The annual awards honor insurance providers, brokers, and industry leaders across the Asia-Pacific region for innovations in customer service and market growth.

The brokerage reported strong financial performance in 2025, generating P1.766 billion in premiums—a 24 percent increase year-over-year. The company also posted 25 percent growth in peso revenues and a 24 percent increase in U.S. dollar revenues over the same period.

"At Cebuana Lhuillier, we have always believed that insurance should be within everyone's reach, regardless of circumstance," Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, said. "This recognition reflects the progress we have made in advancing financial inclusion through protection."

Working alongside 40 insurance partners, the firm currently provides coverage to more than 21.3 million Filipinos. It operates through a hybrid model that uses Cebuana Lhuillier’s nationwide physical branch footprint—including mall locations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—alongside digital services.

Atty. Isagani Acosta, senior vice president and general manager of the brokerage, attributed the award to expanded distribution networks and simplified product offerings, including specialized plans like Mindcare, which covers mental health services.

"This award reflects the strength of our insurer partnerships, the dedication of our people, and our continued focus on delivering a seamless customer experience," Acosta said.

In addition to its domestic operations, the company participates in the global Microinsurance Master Accelerator Program to assist international organizations in designing accessible coverage models for underserved markets.
