Great design thrives when anchored by a deeply connected community. Last Tuesday, 4 August, current chic enclave Cutie Pie at Karrivin Plaza transformed into a habitué of style and gratitude as Comme Çi hosted an intimate soirée of cocktails and pizza for its favorite designers and closest friends. Marking a beautiful milestone since opening its doors in 2017, this festive evening served as the very first non-work-related social gathering — a heartfelt pause to honor the incredible industry forces that have shaped its brilliant identity. Founded by the visionary quartet of Nicole Whisenhunt, Kai Lim, Trish Calma and Emi Jorge, the curated concept retail space stepped away from the usual sartorial grind to simply say a stylish thank you to the local fashion scene that has continuously breathed life into its walls.
The enchanting evening effortlessly celebrated the retail incubator’s enduring legacy as one of the premier platforms for independent, avant-garde and contemporary Filipino designers. Surrounded by an upscale selection of thoughtfully curated womenswear and menswear, the night pulsed with cool music, savory bites and an undeniable warmth that only the finest company can bring. It was a stylish testament to the power of collaboration and mutual appreciation, proving that beyond the fabrics and silhouettes, the true soul of Filipino fashion lies in the shared conversations and enduring bonds of its community.
