Trash along Baclaran drainage channel

Marine debris—mostly plastic containers, discarded Styrofoam, and takeout boxes—floats in a drainage channel in Baclaran, Parañaque City, on 13 August 2026, as authorities continue cleanup operations. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said around 400 metric tons of trash have been collected from the open canal.
