COMELEC launches Data Privacy Handbook

Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairperson George Garcia, together with fellow commissioners and agency officials, launches the first-ever Data Privacy Handbook at the Manila Cathedral on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. According to Garcia, the handbook symbolizes the Commission’s commitment to protecting voters’ personal information by aligning its practices with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012. It also provides internal staff and field officers with concrete guidelines on how to safely collect, handle, and dispose of voter records.
