The Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) arrested 113 individuals in a series of intensified Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted across the Cagayan Valley Region from July 30 to Aug. 5, 2026.

According to PRO2, the operations resulted in the arrest of 82 wanted persons, including eight most wanted individuals and 74 other fugitives in separate police operations throughout the region.

Authorities also carried out 17 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 22 drug suspects. Seized during the operations were 52.75 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of ₱358,700 and 35.45 grams of marijuana valued at ₱4,269, for a combined estimated value of ₱362,969.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, police arrested one individual.

PRO2 also reported the voluntary surrender and recovery of 12 firearms and one explosive device through the cooperation of local communities as part of the Philippine National Police's campaign against loose firearms and explosives.

Meanwhile, enforcement of Presidential Decree No. 705, or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines, resulted in the arrest of four individuals in three separate operations. Authorities confiscated 2,868 board feet of illegally sourced lumber with an estimated value of ₱132,781.

Under the Department of the Interior and Local Government's Safer Cities Initiative for highly urbanized cities, police also recorded 13,542 violators of various local ordinances during the reporting period.

PRO2 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Mariano C. Rodriguez said the sustained implementation of SACLEO remains a key strategy in maintaining peace and public safety across the region.

He said intensified law enforcement operations, intelligence gathering, and community cooperation continue to play a vital role in holding lawbreakers accountable and preserving peace and order throughout Cagayan Valley.
