Two alleged street-level drug personalities were arrested and about P34,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized during an anti-drug operation in Las Piñas on Thursday evening.
At around 6 p.m. on 9 July 2026, personnel of the Las Piñas City Police Station's Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit flagged down a gray-and-black Honda Click motorcycle along Tionguiao Street in Barangay Manuyo Dos for inspection.
Instead of stopping, the driver sped away, prompting a brief pursuit before police intercepted the motorcycle.
During the inspection, officers found a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu attached to the driver's license. The back rider attempted to flee but was immediately apprehended after another sachet of suspected shabu fell from his pocket.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases Marc Christian, 21, and Mangomery, 22, were arrested.
Police said the confiscated suspected shabu weighed about five grams and had an estimated standard drug price of P34,000.
The suspects remain in police custody and will face charges for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165.
