The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested four newly identified high-value individuals and confiscated approximately 400 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.72 million during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno, Las Piñas City on Sunday night.
The arrested suspects were identified only by their aliases as Kalbo, 32, delivery rider; Jomar, 30, delivery rider; Christian, 22; and Carl, 25.
The suspects will face charges for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 26 (Conspiracy to Sell/Possess Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
At about 6:50 p.m., operatives from the District Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the District Investigation Division, the Las Piñas City Police Station’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit, and Sub-Station 1, conducted the buy-bust operation beside a commercial establishment along Diego Cera Avenue, Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno. A poseur-buyer successfully completed the illegal drug transaction, prompting the operating team to immediately arrest the four suspects.
Recovered during the operation were several heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 400 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P2,720,000, the marked buy-bust money placed inside a white envelope, and one Android cellular phone believed to have been used in the illegal drug transaction.
The latter two are unemployed. Police identified all four as newly identified high-value individuals operating within the district.
The suspects and the confiscated evidence were brought to the District Drug Enforcement Unit office for documentation and proper disposition.
The seized suspected illegal drugs will be submitted to the forensic laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination, while appropriate charges will be filed before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office.
