avena and Ray Parks made big moves last Friday as they gear up for the 2026-27 season.
Ravena, 32, made a huge leap as he joined powerhouse Ryukyu Golden Kings after spending two seasons with the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
The former Ateneo de Manila University star is thrilled to help the Golden Kings win another B.League title after they lost to the Nagasaki Velca in the best-of-three championship series.
“I’m very excited to be part of the Ryukyu Golden Kings. As one of the top organizations in the league, I’ll be ready to do my best to represent the city of Okinawa and the fans of the Kings,” Ravena said in a team statement.
Ravena averaged 11.9 points while shooting 37 percent from three-point range, to go with 3.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game for Yokohama.
Should he succeed, he will become the second Filipino import to win a B.League title after Carl Tamayo accomplished the feat in 2023.
Meanwhile, Parks will suit up for the Ibaraki Robots as they look to improve on their horrendous 19-41 win-loss record from last season.
Parks, who previously played for the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins and Osaka Evessa, is ready to help the Robots.
“I’m really excited for this next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to be part of your organization. I can already feel the energy and support, and I can’t wait to meet everyone soon, compete together, and give everything I have for the team and the city,” Parks said.
“Looking forward to building something special and having a competitive and winning season together.”
The former National University standout averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists for Osaka last season.
