Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t confirmed anything about their wedding yet, but fans are convinced the big day is getting closer—and the latest clues are only making the rumors louder.
Madison Square Garden rumors keep getting stronger
The biggest buzz? Madison Square Garden in New York City. Reports claim the couple could be tying the knot there this weekend, with celebrations rumored to kick off on 3 July.
On Monday, 29 June, large trucks were spotted pulling up to MSG, where crews appeared to be unloading equipment. This came just days after reports claimed a permit had been filed to close the streets around the venue from 2 July through midday 4 July, fueling speculation that a major event is on the calendar.
The "Mirrorball" clue has Swifties spiraling
Another clue that's got Swifties spiraling? A Page Six report shared photos of vendors outside the arena, including a giant container labeled "40-inch mirror ball." Fans immediately connected it to Taylor’s Folklore track "Mirrorball." Staff were also seen unloading rows of chairs, lighting rigs, spotlights, and other large equipment, while vendors from a "lighting company, a piping and draping business, and a transportation services company" were reportedly on-site. Several unmarked trucks were also spotted arriving throughout the day.
Apparently, everyone involved is keeping things super secretive. According to the report, some vendors even covered up their company names and logos, and workers claimed they had no idea who the event was for. As one worker put it, "We aren’t told anything. Everything is so tight-lipped."
Is Taylor secretly recording a wedding song?
Earlier this month, fans also noticed Taylor heading into New York’s Electric Lady Studios, which sparked theories she was secretly working on TS13. But later reports suggested she may have actually been recording something much more personal.
According to the Daily Mail, an insider claimed Taylor is "creating a beautiful love song for her future husband." The source described it as "a sweet ballad" with "a hypnotic chorus," adding, "She has been writing it for the past few weeks, she's very excited about it." They also said, "The lyrics will be about what makes their relationship click and will hint at the special, private moments they have had together."
The insider went on to claim Taylor plans to perform the song during the wedding reception and release it publicly that same day. They even hinted a full wedding-inspired album could happen someday, saying Taylor "writes really fast" and has "a zillion ideas."
Another source, though, pushed back on that idea, saying that if Taylor did write a song for Travis, she probably wouldn’t want to share something so personal "with a lot of people." So for now, it’s all still speculation.
Meanwhile, the secrecy surrounding the wedding is reportedly frustrating some guests too. A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that invitees have allegedly been feeling "annoyed" by how little information they've received. "Everyone understands wanting privacy, but at some point it starts feeling like they don’t trust the very people they’re inviting," the source said.
There’s also a growing theory that Madison Square Garden might not even be the real wedding venue.
Entertainment reporter Rob Shuter has reported since early June that people close to Taylor believe the MSG plan is actually a decoy. According to his sources, guests could first be directed to the arena before being transported to the actual ceremony somewhere else. "Most people I know think it's a decoy," one source claimed. Another said the whole public spectacle felt like something "the Kardashians would do," calling it "a production… Not a wedding." Some fans think that if MSG is involved at all, it could be for a surprise event or celebration rather than the ceremony itself.
The biggest clues so far
As for the evidence, reports point to the street closure permits around MSG, multiple sources claiming Taylor rented the venue, and law enforcement agencies—including NYPD and Amtrak police—being briefed on the possibility of large crowds tied to a rumored "Swift wedding" that weekend. There have also been reports that several Kansas City Chiefs players have hotel bookings around the same time.
Taylor and Travis announced their engagement in August 2025, but they still haven't officially shared any wedding details.
There have also been reports about the couple’s prenup. According to insiders, Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, helped put together what’s being described as an "ironclad" agreement to protect her estimated $2 billion in music and business assets, and Travis reportedly had no issue signing it.
Sources told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Scott played a major role in planning the financial side of the marriage. One insider described him as "a fist in a velvet glove," saying he's warm and polite but knows exactly when to protect Taylor’s interests.
With Taylor’s reported net worth sitting around $1.6 billion and Travis’ estimated at $120 million, another source explained, "When you're dealing with nearly $2 billion in combined assets, a prenup isn't a sign of mistrust." They added, "It's smart business."
The same reports claim Travis has a lot of respect for Scott and sees him as someone who built one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world.
For now, though, everything surrounding the wedding—including the venue, the guest list, and even the date—remains unconfirmed. Until Taylor or Travis says something themselves, all of these clues are still just that: clues.
