The irresistible aroma of roasted lechon filled the air as the Ormoc City Lechon Kumbira 2026 brought together some of the city’s finest lechon makers in a flavorful highlight of this year’s Piña Festival.
Held on June 26 at the Ormoc City Grand Staircase, the competition celebrated the craftsmanship, tradition, and passion behind one of the Philippines’ most beloved fiesta dishes. Local lechon experts showcased their signature recipes and roasting techniques, transforming the event into a feast that delighted residents and visitors alike.
More than a cooking competition, the gathering reflected Ormoc’s thriving culinary heritage and the dedication of local entrepreneurs who continue to elevate the city’s food scene. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of festive celebration as judges evaluated each entry for taste, presentation, and overall quality, while the crowd eagerly cheered for their favorites.
By the end of the competition, the best lechon masters earned recognition for their outstanding creations, proving once again why Ormoc remains one of the country’s destinations for exceptional roasted pork.
