The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has welcomed Monde M.Y. San Corp., one of the country's leading biscuit and cracker manufacturers, as its newest locator following the signing of a registration agreement on 23 June.
PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and Monde M.Y. San General Manager Keng Sun Mar signed the agreement at the TECO Industrial Park–Special Economic Zone (TIP-SEZ) in Mabalacat, Pampanga. PEZA Deputy Director General for Operations Vivian Santos and Monde M.Y. San Procurement Manager Shirly Cabrera witnessed the signing.
The registered project covers the manufacturing of the company's flagship SkyFlakes crackers and sandwich products, long considered household staples among Filipino consumers.
The project involves an investment of more than ₱5 billion and is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2027.
Once operational, the facility is expected to generate direct employment, boost domestic manufacturing output, and strengthen the food manufacturing value chain in Central Luzon.
PEZA said the registration highlights the continued attractiveness of its economic zones to both local and foreign investors seeking to expand manufacturing operations.
Monde M.Y. San's decision to locate its new facility inside the TECO Industrial Park underscores the competitiveness of Philippine economic zones in supporting large-scale, high-value manufacturing investments.
“The registration reflects PEZA’s continuing efforts to attract quality investments, create meaningful employment opportunities, and foster sustainable industrial development beyond Metro Manila. PEZA remains committed to driving inclusive growth, strengthening local industries, and advancing the country’s long-term economic development agenda,” Panga said.
Founded in 1935, Monde M.Y. San has been producing a wide range of crackers and biscuits for nearly a century.
Its portfolio includes well-known brands such as SkyFlakes, Fita, and M.Y. San Grahams, which have remained popular among generations of Filipino consumers.
