Residents of Parola Compound in Barangay San Nicolas, Manila salvage what is left of their homes on 24 May 2026, after a massive fire broke out the previous afternoon. The blaze, which reached the Task Force Charlie alarm level, has left at least 2,000 families temporarily sheltered at a nearby evacuation center.
