Naglabas ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ng humigit-kumulang P16.5 bilyon para sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) upang matiyak na tuloy-tuloy ang mga proyektong pang-imprastruktura sa bansa.
Ayon sa DBM, ipinalabas ang pondo sa pamamagitan ng Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA), na gagamitin din sa pagbabayad ng mga due at demandable accounts payable ng departamento.
Ipinaliwanag ni DBM Secretary Rolando Toledo na mahalagang maiwasan ang pagkaantala ng mga pangunahing proyekto sa konstruksyon. Dagdag pa niya ito ay makatutulong na makapagbigay ng mas maraming trabaho sa bansa.
Ang naturang pondo ay maaaring ipamahagi ng DPWH sa iba’t ibang implementing units nito sa 17 rehiyon sa buong bansa.
