

Authorities seized some P216-million worth of fake branded footwear during the implementation of a search warrant at a production warehouse located inside an industrial compound in Brgy. Balucuc, Apalit, Pampanga on 26 February 2026.
According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), their Pampanga Provincial Field Unit, together with the Apalit Municipal Police Station of Pampanga Police Provincial Office, served a search warrant at the said production warehouse.
The operation, conducted for violation of Republic Act No. 8293 or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, led to the confiscation of 181 boxes of counterfeit rubber footwear bearing the brand of Crocs, Inc., 30 sacks of rubber resin raw materials used in manufacturing, four sets of heavy machinery intended for footwear reproduction, and assorted business documents.
The total estimated market value of the seized items reached P216,305,000.00.
The listed suspect, a Filipino female identified as alias “Geraldine,” is currently at large and was not present during the implementation of the search warrant. A follow-up operation is ongoing for her arrest.
All confiscated items were properly inventoried and documented on-site in the presence of required witnesses. Representatives of the affected brand were also present during the operation. The seized counterfeit products are set for proper disposal through an accredited waste management facility.
Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for the successful enforcement action.
