Coach is turning the page on accessories with the launch of its latest book-inspired bag charms, transforming a viral trend into a collectible fashion statement.
Creative director Stuart Vevers first unveiled the tiny leather-bound pieces during the brand’s Spring 2026 runway presentation. It gathered attention anew at the New York Fashion Week on 11 February, when the charms were spotted clipped onto front-row handbags.
Created in partnership with Penguin Random House through its Puffin Classics line, the charms replicate iconic novels in miniature form, complete with embossed spines and legible pages. Among the early sightings: Dracula by Bram Stoker, Kindred by Octavia E. Butler and selected works from the Brontë sisters — several reportedly inspired by reader requests circulating on TikTok.
Searches for bag charms have surged, Pinterest reports spikes, and the global accessories market is projected to reach billions by 2030.
