Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. ranked among the top three Philippine conglomerates in the 2025 S&P Global ESG ratings, citing strong governance systems, social performance and transparency practices.

The ranking was based on the December 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which evaluates how companies manage material environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities relative to industry peers.

The assessment highlighted AEV’s sustained performance in corporate governance, business ethics, and risk and crisis management — areas considered central to long-term value creation and organizational resilience.

The conglomerate also posted strong marks in human capital management and occupational health and safety, reflecting continued investments in workforce development and leadership capability across its portfolio.

The report noted AEV’s high level of transparency and data availability compared with industry peers, underscoring its disclosure standards and institutional risk management frameworks.

“Our standing in 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment reflects the discipline of embedding sustainability into how we govern, manage risk, and build our businesses for the long term,” said Sabin Aboitiz, President and CEO of Aboitiz Equity Ventures. “Strong governance and a people-centered organization remain the foundations of our transformation as a tech-enabled enterprise creating enduring value for stakeholders.”

S&P Global’s ESG ratings use a double-materiality lens that links sustainability performance to long-term enterprise value.

Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, chief reputation and sustainability officer of AEV, said the recognition affirms the group’s consistent approach to sustainability governance.

“This recognition affirms the consistency of our sustainability governance and our focus on material issues that matter most to our stakeholders. We’re committed to strengthening transparency, deepening human capital investments, and upholding the highest standards of business integrity across the Group,” she said.

AEV said its continued performance in global ESG benchmarks strengthens stakeholder trust, accountability and long-term resilience across its diversified businesses.
