The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Region 3-Branch B held a soft launch of the Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment (GAMOT) Program at the Telecure Pharmacy at Barangay San Vicente in Malolos City, Bulacan on 23 February.
The said soft launching highlights the operationalization of Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) Clinics. The event featured a demonstration of the YAKAP-GAMOT service pathway, showcasing an actual consultation with a YAKAP provider for GAMOT prescription generation and the subsequent dispensing of medicines through an accredited GAMOT facility.
PhilHealth Region 3 Acting Vice President Atty. Ma. Emily P. Roque led the event, with Mayor Atty. Christian N. Natividad and Health Committee Chair John Vincent G. Vitug III providing messages of support for the soft launching of the GAMOT program here.
Telecure Medical and Diagnostic Center President and CEO Dr. Niño Richard C. Tan and PhilHealth Region 3 Branch B Manager Arlan M. Granali were also present during the said event.
The YAKAP-GAMOT program is a national health program in the Philippines, not a traditional or specific over-the-counter medicine. The program is designed to provide PhilHealth members and their dependents with access to free primary healthcare services and essential medicines for various conditions.
