Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has opened the Toyota Los Baños Service Center, its first standalone service facility in the Calabarzon region, expanding its nationwide aftersales network and generating additional employment and skills opportunities.
In a press release issued Saturday, TMP said the 6,000-square-meter facility is equipped with 68 car bays and offers express maintenance, periodic servicing, general repairs, and body and paint work. The center is intended to meet the rising demand for vehicle servicing in Laguna, one of the country’s fastest-growing economic areas.
TMP President Masando Hashimoto said the project reflects the company’s commitment to its customers and host communities.
“Today, we mark the Toyota Los Baños Service Center as the first service center in Laguna and the ninth service center in the Toyota network nationwide,” Hashimoto said.
“As we inaugurate this facility today, may it stand as a symbol of continued partnership, a contribution to the local Los Baños community, where every customer journey begins and ends with trust.”
Toyota Calamba Chairman Egmidio “Eddie” S. Jose said the new facility supports both mobility and local development.
“The Toyota Los Baños Service Center is more than just a facility—it is our commitment to help the municipality move closer to its development goals by providing reliable mobility solutions, expert vehicle care, and customer-focused after-sales support,” he said.
Toyota Motor Philippines currently employs more than 4,300 regular and outsourced workers. Its broader ecosystem, including suppliers and dealerships, supports around 69,000 jobs nationwide.
The company works with 46 local parts suppliers and about 100 member companies in its supplier network, contributing to domestic manufacturing and technology transfer in the automotive sector.
Since establishing operations in the Philippines, Toyota has generated billions of pesos in investments and more than ₱515 billion in cumulative taxes, positioning it among the country’s major corporate contributors.
Hashimoto previously underscored the company’s broader development role.
“Toyota has always believed that our success must go hand in hand with the progress of the Philippines,” he said. “By expanding our operations, strengthening our supply chain, and investing in people, we aim to create opportunities for Filipino workers and contribute meaningfully to the country’s long-term growth.”
The company also invests in workforce development through technical education and dealership training programs that prepare automotive technicians and engineers for roles within its expanding network. These initiatives aim to raise industry standards and equip Filipino workers with globally competitive skills in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and advanced automotive technologies.
Toyota recorded more than 215,000 vehicle sales in 2024, maintaining leadership across passenger cars, commercial vehicles and overall automotive sales.
“We are proud to be part of the Philippine economy and to support communities through employment, skills development, and long-term investments,” Hashimoto said previously. “Our goal is not only to provide mobility, but also to help build a stronger industrial base and better opportunities for Filipinos.”
