Some P1.1-million worth of cooking oil products stashed at a facility at Sitio Allied, Brgy. San Rafael in Tarlac City were confiscated by the authorities.

According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), the operation was led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Tarlac PFU in coordination with Tarlac City Police Station.

The PNP stated that the operation was carried out under search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 63, Tarlac City, for alleged violations of the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009 (RA 9711).

During the operation, law enforcement personnel seized hundreds of cooking oil containers, transaction records, delivery receipts, a Samsung tablet, and other items relevant to the case. The confiscated products, including cooking palm oil and coconut oil, were valued at approximately P1,152,492.00.

Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized the significance of this accomplishment. “Ang ganitong operasyon ay patunay ng ating determinasyon na protektahan ang mamamayan at siguraduhing ligtas ang mga produktong nakapasok sa merkado,” he said.

“This achievement is aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda, executed through Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), reinforcing our commitment to proactive law enforcement and efficient police work,” PGEN Nartatez added.

He also issued a stern warning to the public: “We strongly advise consumers to avoid buying unverified cooking oil products from unknown or unauthorized sellers. Ang kalusugan ng bawat isa ay hindi dapat isugal, and we will continue to act against those endangering public safety.”

The seized items were transported to the CIDG Tarlac PFU Office at Camp Macabulos for proper documentation and disposition, underlining the PNP’s dedication to thorough and lawful procedures.
